MultiAd is a leading provider of marketing and print services located in Peoria, Illinois. MultiAd is one of the most unique, full-service marketing organizations of its kind. MultiAd is made up of five operating areas:

Founded in 1945 as a “clip-art” service to the newspaper industry, MultiAd has grown by the needs of its clients and as a trendsetter in technology solutions. Today MultiAd focuses on providing the content and solutions for effective advertising and marketing solutions for over 4,000 clients. Bank of America, Lexus, The Los Angeles Times, Nelligan Sports Marketing and Kraft are just a few of the loyal base of clients.


Executive Bios

James M. Douglas, President & CEO

Douglas began his career as a project manager in MultiAd’s AdPlanner division in 1991. He has extensive experience in various roles in the company including positions as territory manager, marketing manager and managing director of MultiAd’s Canadian operations. Since 2001, Douglas led MultiAd’s Planner division as the senior vice president. During his tenure, the Planner division experienced record sales and profit growth. Douglas took over the role of President & CEO in April 2008. He plans to capitalize on all the talent, products and solutions MultiAd currently offers and create a cohesive resource for advertising content and marketing support solutions.

Douglas serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IPMR) and is a supporter of the American Diabetes Association.

A lifelong Peoria resident and Bradley University graduate, Douglas makes his home in Dunlap, IL, with his wife, Lori, and two sons, Cole and Connor.



John F. Kocher, Executive Vice President

Joining the MultiAd Team in 1993, Kocher served the CPG industry as he moved through the ranks of MultiAd’s sales and marketing teams. He began his career as a field sales representative and was promoted to national sales manager, vice president, senior vice president, and in April 2008, executive vice president with management responsibilities over the Kwikee and Planner teams. His passion and vision for the services of MultiAd have produced winning solutions for MultiAd’s clients and provided opportunities for growth and development of his team.

Kocher’s experience is complemented and enhanced by the services he provides outside of MultiAd. He serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Midwest Affiliate and the Board of Directors for the Illinois State University College of Business Advisory Council.

Kocher is a graduate of Illinois State University and resides in Peoria with his wife, Dawn, and three children, Ryan, Katelyn and Rachel.



Jim Garner, Senior Vice President

Garner is responsible for sales, marketing and internal production operations for MultiAd® Print Solutions which serves markets related to college sports printing, book publishing companies, regional magazines, local publications, mailing and fulfillment.

Garner began his career at MultiAd in 1992 as a project manager. He has held various other positions within the company, including: customer service group manager, marketing manager and sales manager.  He has been in his current position since 2001.  In addition to his work at MultiAd, Garner has over 12 years of experience as a retail store department manager, merchandise buyer, manufacturer’s sales representative and district regional manager working with co-op advertising.

Garner is a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor of science degree in marketing and management. He lives in Peoria with his wife, Pam. They have three children with one currently in college and his son in the Marines. He is active in leadership positions at his church and has managed a Sports Ministry program since 1987. Locally, Garner serves on the Board of Directors for the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tourism Reserve Board, and is chair of the Peoria Area Sports Commission.



Doug Haffner, Senior Vice President

Haffner is responsible for the development, administration and coordination of the MultiAd IT department. He assists in the development of short- and long-term strategic corporate objectives. The IT division is dedicated to providing robust, dependable technologies to MultiAd and our clients.

Haffner began his career at MultiAd in 1997 as the manager of the design team and has held various positions within the company ranging from director of multimedia, technical sales strategist and manager of development. He has been in his current position since 2003. Haffner’s experience working with clients and emerging technology began in the early 1990’s when he worked as the head of technology and commercial production at a television station in Missouri.

Haffner is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University and lives in Wyoming, Illinois, with his wife, Ashley, and daughter, Elena.



Shelby Vaughn, Chief Financial Officer

Vaughn is responsible for direct preparation of financial reports, audits, operating budgets and internal controls.

He began his career at MultiAd in 1999 as the assistant controller.  In early 2000 he was promoted to controller.  He has been in his current position since 2008. Vaughn’s accounting experience started back in 1996 when he worked as public accountant before joining MultiAd.

Vaughn is a graduate of Illinois State University and a certified public accountant.  He lives in Glasford with his son, Joshua.



Jill Addy Wright, Senior Vice President

Responsible for sales, marketing and product development for for the MultiAd Builder division.  The Builder division is dedicated to providing artwork, sales and co-op ideas and software to local and national media companies.

Addy Wright began her career at MultiAd in 1995 as a marketing coordinator and has has held various positions within the company ranging from product manager, marketing manager and vice president of operations.  She has been in her current position since 2002.  Jill's experience in the newspaper industry dates back to 1991 when she worked as an account executive at a local newspaper before joining MultiAd.  

Active in her community, Addy Wright is involved with organizations such as Dress for Success, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, The Peoria Riverfront Museum and Illinois Press Association.

Among the honors she’s received, Addy Wright was a recipient of the 25 Women in Leadership Award in 2006, Peoria Magazine's 40 Leaders Under 40 class of 2006 and has received the MultiAd President’s Club award for outstanding sales growth.
